Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting the Innovation Middle School website. We are very proud of what has been achieved our inaugural school year, especially the earning of an A school grade by the Florida Department of Education! This is a great accomplishment for a brand new school and we couldn't have done it without the support of our amazing Lake Nona community.

I am excited to continue to lead a dedicated and expert leadership team and staff focused on student achievement. The Innovation community is extremely supportive and we invite all of our community and families to be an active part of our school.

This site has been designed to provide you with important information about our school. We hope that our website will continue to keep you involved by providing the necessary information about academics, performances, upcoming events, athletics, and all the other happenings at Innovation Middle School.

Common Final Exams continue this week. These assessments are for courses who do not have a state assessment and are worth 20% of the final grade in the course. We will have the CFEs for Periods 1 and 5 on Monday, May 20, and the CFEs for Periods 6 and 7 on Tuesday, May 21. All CFEs are computer-based so students will need to be sure their device is fully charged to 100%.

Device collection will take place this week for all students. 8th grade students will return their device on Wednesday, May 22, 6th graders will return their device on Thursday, May 23, and 7th grade students will return their device on Friday, May 24. Since students will be returning their device it is important that they come to school with paper and pencil as teachers will be preparing paper-based lessons for the last days of school.

There are only 7 school days left in the 2018-2019 school year. Thank you families for supporting us throughout the year. Remember, next week on Monday May 27, there will be no school in observance of Memorial Day and no backpacks will be permitted on campus May 28 or 29 for the final 2 days of school.
