Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting the Innovation Middle School website. We are very proud of what has been achieved our inaugural school year, especially the earning of an A school grade by the Florida Department of Education! This is a great accomplishment for a brand new school and we couldn't have done it without the support of our amazing Lake Nona community.

I am excited to continue to lead a dedicated and expert leadership team and staff focused on student achievement.  The Innovation community is extremely supportive and we invite all of our community and families to be an active part of our school.

This site has been designed to provide you with important information about our school.  We hope that our website will continue to keep you involved by providing the necessary information about academics, performances, upcoming events, athletics, and all the other happenings at Innovation Middle School.

We are already in quarter 2, and cooler weather in finally on its way.  The first months of school have been a great success and we were very happy to see many wonderful faces at our Open House evenings.  Thank you for coming out to support our Book Fair and allowing our staff to show you many of the wonderful things they do every day for your child.  Please remember that October 26 is a  non-student day.

In sporting news, our girl's soccer team made first round of the playoffs and we have formed our volleyball teams. Please join us at home on October 22 for our first Volleyball game of the season against Lake Nona Middle, and check our Athletic's tab for the full schedule.

Our inaugural Debate Tournament was held at our school on October 6, and we  brought home the first place medal for Duo Interpretation!  Our theater students are practicing hard for our fall play, Inherit the Wind, with showtimes on November 8 and 9,  and a few of our students have earned a part in Lake Nona High School's Elf!  On November 3, several clubs will be at Lake Nona High School's Relay for Life with a Harry Potter themed booth, and the list of activities our students are participating in outside school hours are so numerous, it's tough to list them all.

What an exciting time to be at Innovation Middle! I look forward to all of the future events and activities we have planned.  Please check back often for continual updates.
